We Will Look After Our World! (KSA #9)Students spent a few class periods exploring the different ways people can help look after our world. Then each student was given a page to complete for our class book. Once the book was complete, the students had to work together to decide on a title for their story.

Letter of Reference & PSI AssessmentBelow you can find a letter from my teaching associate, Nardene Neilson, and my Formative Assessment for my PSI.
Building Things in Science (KSA #9)As part of the grade one curriculum, we learned about building things. We started our lessons with learning the different materials that we can build with and why some materials are better than others for certain projects. Then we continued by looking at the different kinds of fasteners we could use. We then used our knowledge of materials and fasteners to build houses out of recycled materials and created a classroom village.
Cooperating in Social Studies (KSA #9)Students truly learned the meaning of cooperation during an obstacle course where they had to help their blindfolded teammate through the course. After each student had completed the obstacle course they received a puzzle piece. After all of the students finished the obstacle course they worked together to assemble a puzzle with a hidden message, "cooperation."
